Brands have the ability to review and optimize performance throughout an ad's lifetime. This can be automated or managed manually. Automated campaigns are data-driven algorithms that are optimized for improved profitability. To automate, this must be defined during the campaign setup/configuration.
Performance dashboards will always available at the campaign and adgroup level.
See below campaign dashboard to monitor performance:
Understanding Key Metrics
Budget/Ad Spend
The amount of money spent on your ad campaigns.
Sales Revenue
Revenue attributed to clicks on your sponsored products.
Impressions
Impressions measure the number of times an ad is loaded on a page or device, whether or not they click on it or not.
Clicks
Number of times customers click on one your sponsored products.
CPC (Cost Per Click)
CPC describes how much a brand pays when a user clicks on their ad. Generally speaking, a higher CPC indicates more competition.
ACoS (Advertising Cost of Sales)
ACoS is a key metric used to measure pay-per-click advertising campaigns. It compares the amount spent to the amount earned, and ultimately helps determine which campaigns are the most cost-efficient.
ACoS = (ad spend / ad revenue) x 100
Example 1 Ad spend = $100 Ad Revenue = $575 ACoS = 17.4% |
Example 2 Ad spend = $75 Ad Revenue = $200 ACoS = 37.5% |
Increasing revenue and reducing your ACoS is always the goal. Identifying your successful and/or failing ad campaigns can help pinpoint where your funds should be going. This will help decide where there are opportunities to optimize spending.
